The leading factor in social sustainability is the continuous development of future generations on a firm basis. The Group that constantly improves its responsible institutional citizenship features, provides support and makes contributions to culture and education as an expression of their respect and responsibilities towards the society.
Within this scope, the first part of the education project started by Kürüm Group in town of Erciş in city of Van , is a primary school of 12 classrooms that was completed in 2002 and started operation with the name Salim Sıtkı Kürüm. Veysi Kürüm Primary School was completed in 2004 with the same features. In 2005, again in the town of Erciş , Sevim Kürüm Anatolian High School started to operate.
Additionally, the periodical donations that are done to Van Culture and Solidarity Organization by Kürüm Holding are providing education scholarships to college students that are in need.
Within the scope of the "My dearest School" campaign with contributions from TOÇEV, regions all around Turkey with schools that need repair or in need of schools, were reached, and Van-Erciş Küplü village Cemile Kürüm Primary School was established and opened on 01/06/2007 and Mehmet-Süreyya Özyurtlu Primary School in Bitlis-Tatvan was also opened around the same time with their participation and the participation of other Kürüm family members. All educational social responsibility facilities that Haşmet Kürüm supported to be established, started as an attempt to prevent that light in the eyes of a little girl from diminishing, and now this social responsibility turned to be a duty for him. The happiness that he enjoys for adding new ones to the services he provides in education area has a special place in his heart.
