KÜRÜM IN KOSOVO
Kosovo is the second base for Kürüm Holding in the Balkans. The Group runs an insurance business in this small market with a population of two million.
Ten companies are actively involved in the Kosovo insurance market and the competition is intensifying.

Kosova e Re was founded by Kürüm Holding in April 2002 under the name of Kosova e Re Insurance Company S.A., following partnerships formed with insurance companies run by the Kosovo Government. Kürüm Holding purchased all the remaining shares in the same year upon the Kosovo Government's request.
Its main line of activity is what is known as non-life insurance. The Company is the oldest insurance enterprise in Kosovo. In addition to the general headquarters in Pristina, the Company, with its seven regional offices and over 100 agencies, works with the vision of leading every innovation. The mission of Kosova e Re, on the other hand, is to offer every innovation appearing in the world insurance sector to the Kosovon people and become the market leader. The Company embraces the principles of participation, transparency and inclusion of the employees in the decision-making processes as its corporate values.
Kosova e Re markets all types of insurance products, except life and health insurance. Its products include fire, motor, compulsory liability, traffic and transport insurance. Thanks to the close relationship forged with global reassurance companies, the most important advantage the Company has over its competitors is the ability to provide more extensive services with favorable conditions. The relationships formed with international players provide Kosova e Re with a vital advantage as far as promoting new products in the market and pricing is concerned. A strong capital framework, skilled human resources and speedy service policy are other advantages the Company enjoys.

Equipped with the license obtained from United Nations Administration, the Company insures on average 30,000 motor vehicles per year. Its share in the general insurance sector was 15% in 2007. This performance puts Kosova e Re in 3 rd place in the sector.
In the next three years, Kosova e Re aims to increase its market share progressively and reach 16%, 18% and 20%, respectively, further strengthening its market dominance. In line with these goals, reorganization of management, establishment of new agencies and entering into life and health fields, after necessary feasibility studies are completed, is planned.
The premium turnover total, which was US$ 5,949,933 in 2006, rose to US$ 6,518,054 in 2007.
